Game Settings
Before starting a game, the Host has a configuration screen that lets them precisely define the rules, pace and difficulty level of the session. These options can be adjusted from the Waiting Room.
General settings
These settings dictate the overall length and difficulty of the game.
- Points to win: Set the total score a player must reach to win the game. The higher this number, the longer the game will be.
- Answering time: The amount of time (in seconds) given to a player to submit their answers after using the buzzer.
- Wrong answer penalty: The number of points that will be removed from a player if they give a wrong answer. Enabling penalties discourages players from buzzing at random.
Elements to guess
The Host can choose which information about the track players will have to identify. You can enable or disable each field independently:
- Artist
- Title
- Album
- Year
The visibility of these fields on the player's screen also depends on the metadata available for each track (if the year is not provided on Apple Music, the field will not appear).
Points distribution
For each element to guess, the Host can assign a different point value. This makes it possible to reward certain harder pieces of information (for example, giving more points for the release year than for the artist).
- Points for the artist
- Points for the title
- Points for the album
- Points for the year
A player's final score in a round is the sum of the points for all the elements they have correctly identified.
Automation
These options help streamline the flow of the game:
- Ambient sound: Enables or disables the contextual sound effects played on the Host's device during the game.
- Auto-resume playback: Lets the music restart automatically after certain in-game actions (for example, after a preparation delay at the start of a round).
