Animations & visual feedback

To make every game more lively and dynamic, Play Guess and Reveal includes a set of animations and visual feedback. These effects celebrate wins, confirm actions and guide the players' attention.

Confetti

Celebrations are marked by showers of confetti on screen.

  • Standard confetti: It appears to highlight positive events during the game, such as awarding a bonus or recognizing the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the Round.
  • Premium confetti: A more spectacular animation, rich in color and density, is reserved for big moments, in particular to celebrate the winning player or team at the end of the game.

These visual effects reinforce the festive and competitive feel of the blind test game.

Reveal animations

When the Host decides to provide a hint, the information does not appear abruptly:

  • The appearance of a metadata field (such as the artist, title, album or year) comes with a smooth, fluid transition.
  • This animation draws the players' attention to the new information that has just appeared on their screen without disrupting their concentration.

On-screen notifications (Toasts)

To inform players of important events without interrupting the flow of the game, the app uses a system of floating notifications (Toasts).

  • They appear briefly at the top or bottom of the screen.
  • They are used for warning messages, action confirmations, or global announcements (such as another player losing their connection).
  • They disappear automatically after a few seconds.

Buzzer animations

The player's main tool, their buzzer, reacts visually to every press:

  • The physical effect: Whether it is the classic vinyl record buzzer or the modern, clean design, the button is virtually pressed down with each tap to confirm that the action was registered.
  • These press animations, combined with sound and haptic feedback, assure the player that their action was recorded instantly by the system, even during the most intense moments of the game.
