Hints & Tools

The host has three tools to help players find the answer: the field reveal, the hangman and the 4 choices. These tools are accessible from the quick actions bar at the bottom of the host interface.

Reveal

The Reveal button lets you disclose the current track’s information progressively or completely to help the players.

Available reveal options

The options offered depend on the game configuration and the track’s metadata:

• The artist
• The track title
• The album
• The release year
• Reveal all — discloses all the information at once

Revealing a piece of information

1. Tap the Reveal button in the actions bar.
2. The reveal panel opens with the options available for the current track.

3. Select the information to disclose, or choose Reveal all.
4. Players immediately see the information appear on their screens.
5. Tap Close to leave the panel.

Hangman

The hangman displays a visual hint on the players’ screens: a word or phrase in which about 60% of the letters are hidden by dashes. Spaces and punctuation are kept.

Activating the hangman

1. Tap the Hangman button (“abc” icon) in the actions bar.

2. The menu displays the available categories based on the fields configured for the game:

   • Artist — partially masks the artist’s name.
   • Title — partially masks the song title.
   • Album — partially masks the album name.
   • Year — partially masks the release year.

3. Tap the desired category.

4. The generated hint is broadcast instantly to all players’ screens.

Once an option has been used, it becomes grayed out in the menu to indicate that this hint has already been revealed.

4 Choices

The 4 Choices button sends a multiple-choice questionnaire to the players’ screens: one correct answer and three automatically generated alternatives.

Activating the 4 Choices

1. Tap the 4 Choices button in the actions bar.

2. Select the type of information for which to generate the options:

   • Artist
   • Title
   • Album
   • Year

3. The four choices are immediately displayed on the players’ screens.

4. Players select the option they believe is correct.
5. The host then validates the answers and awards the points.
