Managing Host configurations
As the Host of the game, you will set many rules and parameters to customize the gameplay experience. To save you time in your next sessions, Play Guess and Reveal automatically remembers your preferences.
What is saved
The app persistently saves several categories of game settings so that they are restored exactly the same the next time you open the app.
Game Settings
- Points to win: The score to reach in order to win the game (for example, 50 points).
- Answering time: The time allowed for a player to give their answer after buzzing (for example, 15 seconds).
- Penalties: The number of points removed for a wrong answer (for example, 1 point).
Points distribution
- The number of points awarded for guessing each music field. For example: 2 points for the artist, 2 points for the title, 3 points for the album and 3 points for the year.
Elements to guess
- The fields that players must guess in order to earn points (Artist, Title, Album, Year).
Automation
- Ambient sound: Turning on or off the ambient sound while waiting or browsing.
- Auto-resume playback: Automatically restarting playback after an answer is validated.
How it works
You don't have to take any manual action to save your settings.
- Adjust the settings you want from the game configuration menu.
- Start your game.
- Your settings are saved immediately.
The next time you host a session, you will instantly find your usual configuration without having to reconfigure each option.
Resetting the settings
If you want to return to the app's default settings, a reset option is available within the configuration interface, letting you start over from a standard baseline in a single tap.
