Using the physical buzzer

For more responsiveness during fast-paced games, Play Guess and Reveal lets you use your iOS device's physical buttons as a buzzer, instead of touching the screen.

Enabling the physical buzzer

This option is especially useful if you want to keep your eyes on the main game screen while keeping a finger on the button, ready to fire.

From the settings

Before joining a game, go to your profile settings (the gear or profile icon).
Switch to the Buzzer tab.
Locate the option to enable the physical trigger (Volume).
Turn the option on.

How to use it in game

Once the option is enabled, using it is very simple:

During a Round, make sure the app is in the foreground on your device.
As soon as you identify the track, quickly press one of the Volume (+ or -) buttons on your iPhone or iPad.
The action is instantly interpreted as a tap on the virtual buzzer on screen.

Technical note: When this feature is active, the app temporarily blocks any real change to your device's sound volume to avoid sudden changes (the volume is immediately restored to its initial value).

Compatibility

This feature is available exclusively on iOS and iPadOS devices.
On Mac, using the space bar serves a similar purpose for a quick keyboard trigger.
