iCloud sync

If your device is signed in to iCloud, your stock is replicated automatically across every device on the same account. There is nothing to turn on and no account to create.

Options → iCloud sync.

Without iCloud

The app works entirely locally. Your data stays on the device.

What the screen shows

  • iCloud account — signed in, no account, restricted…
  • Last download and Last upload — when data last moved
  • How many items, locations and categories are on this device
  • Check now queries the account again

Where your data goes

Into the private database of your iCloud account. The publisher has no access to it: it cannot be read, changed, or even known to exist.

Deleting the examples

The Delete the N examples button removes, in one go, the items prefixed (Ex.) installed on first launch. Locations and categories are kept.

When it leaves, when it arrives

Every save leaves for iCloud within seconds while the app is open; if you quit right away, the app asks iOS for a short grace period so the upload still goes out. Nothing is ever lost: whatever could not leave goes at the next launch. The other way round, changes made on another device arrive by silent notification, even with the app closed, and at launch.
