Backups
A backup freezes the whole stock — items, locations, categories and the links between them — into a dated file.
Options → Backups. Free, with no limit on how many.
Creating one
Back up now adds an entry to the list. Each row shows the date, the time, and what the backup holds: "10 items · 2 locations · 7 categories".
Take one before anything risky — a large CSV import, a reset, a big clear-out.
Restoring
Tap a backup. After confirmation, the current contents are replaced entirely by those of the backup. This is not a merge: anything added since is gone. The operation cannot be undone.
Deleting
Swipe a row.
Where the files are
In the Files app, under On My iPhone → TrackInvent → Sauvegardes. You can copy them elsewhere — to iCloud Drive, say — or send them.
What it is not
iCloud sync is not a backup: it copies the current state, deletions included. A backup freezes a moment and lets you come back to it.
