History

Options › History. What you use, what you throw away, what you add — and what it costs.

What gets recorded

Three actions, and only those: Used (the swipe, a reminder's button, Siri), Thrown away (the swipe, new: everything left in the batch goes to the bin) and Added (a batch created, a scan, "Add 2 milks"). Each action keeps the quantity, the date, the product's name and category, and its value if the product has a price. A quantity corrected in the sheet, a CSV import, a restore are not actions: they are not recorded.

The log keeps thirteen months, to compare a month with the same one last year. An action is removed with a swipe; the stock itself does not move.

This month

At the top, the period — this month, last month, three or twelve months — and, if you have several sessions, the All sessions switch (otherwise, the one shown). Then the totals: used, thrown away with the value lost, added, and the share thrown away of everything that left the stock — in red from a quarter.

The chart puts thrown away against used, by category, the most thrown away first: that is where you see that yoghurts, not tins, end up in the bin. Units mix pieces and kilos: an order of magnitude, not a scale.

Below, the latest actions, most recent first.
