Home Screen Widgets

HtkDoli offers 25 iOS widgets to keep an eye on your key business numbers directly from your iPhone home screen — without opening the app. Each widget is per-profile configurable: if you manage several companies with HtkDoli, you can place multiple widgets side by side, each showing data from a different profile.

Adding a widget to your home screen

  1. Long-press on an empty area of your iOS home screen until icons start jiggling.
  2. Tap the + in the top-left corner.
  3. In the search bar, type HtkDoli.
  4. Scroll to see the 25 available widgets, or pick the one you want directly.
  5. Swipe horizontally to choose the size (small, medium, large).
  6. iOS then asks you to choose the HtkDoli profile to display:
    • The profile currently active in the app is suggested by default.
    • If you have multiple profiles configured, you can pick which one you want.
  7. Tap Add Widget. The widget appears on your home screen.

Multi-profile: one widget per company

If you manage several accounts (e.g., a workshop and a non-profit), you can place the same widget multiple times, each configured for a different profile:

  • "Monthly turnover" widget for the workshop
  • "Monthly turnover" widget for the non-profit

Both appear side by side with different, independent numbers.

To change the profile shown by an existing widget:

  1. Long-press on the widget.
  2. Choose Edit Widget.
  3. Pick the new profile in the list.

Task color coding

In the "My tasks" and "Overdue tasks" widgets, each task row starts with a small dot whose color reflects urgency:

  • 🔴 Red — due date already past (overdue).
  • 🟠 Orange — due date within 48 hours.
  • 🔵 Blue — due date further in the future.
  • Gray — no due date set.

When no tasks are pending, an "Aucune tâche" message with a green seal icon is shown.

How numbers are kept up to date

Widgets refresh automatically:

  • Every time you open the app's dashboard (numbers are recomputed and sent to the widgets immediately).
  • Every time you create or modify an invoice, task, expense report, etc.
  • As a safety net, every 30 minutes, iOS asks the widget to check for newer data.

On the widget, you'll see at the bottom right "X minutes ago": that's the timestamp of the last data refresh. If it looks old, open the app to update.

Frequently asked questions

Why do my widgets show 0 everywhere?

Several possible causes:

  • Fresh install: open the app first and access the dashboard for at least one profile. That's when numbers are computed and pushed to the widget.
  • You just signed out: for privacy reasons, numbers are cleared on sign-out. Sign back in → open the dashboard → widgets fill in.
  • You haven't picked a profile on the widget yet: long-press on the widget → Edit Widget → pick a profile.

The HtkDoli widget doesn't appear in the "+" list

  • Make sure you've installed HtkDoli from the App Store and that it's been opened at least once.
  • HtkDoli widgets require iOS 17 or later.
  • Reboot your iPhone — iOS sometimes takes a few minutes to index a new extension after installation.

Profile A's data appears on a widget configured for profile B

This should never happen — the app strictly isolates profiles. If you observe it:

  1. Long-press the affected widget → Edit Widget.
  2. Pick the correct profile again.
  3. Open the app, switch to the relevant profile, open the dashboard to force a refresh.

I deleted a profile and the widget still shows it

The widget will keep showing the last known data from the deleted profile briefly. To reconfigure it:

  1. Long-press the widget → Edit Widget.
  2. Pick a different profile from the list (the deleted profile is no longer there).
  3. Confirm.

Alternatively, remove the widget and add a new one for the desired profile.

Can I have a "turnover across all companies" widget?

Not for now. Each widget shows numbers for a single profile. A multi-profile aggregate widget could be added later — it's an open topic.
