History
The history is a chronological log of the choices made in the app. It helps relatives and caregivers track the needs that were expressed and how they evolve over time.
What is recorded
Each time a grid button is selected (Yes/No, Needs, Emotions, Now/Later/Maybe, Numbers, Pain scale), the app automatically records:
- the label chosen (as it is read aloud);
- the date and time of the selection.
Records are stored locally on the device; nothing is sent over the internet.
Retention limit
The history keeps six months of events, whatever their number — enough to follow a school term or a treatment. Older entries are removed automatically as new ones are recorded.
Viewing the history
The history is located in Settings → Caregiver section → Log. Events are grouped by day — Today, Yesterday, then the date — and shown from most recent to oldest, each with its label and time.
If Caregiver Lock is enabled (see Customization), access to Settings — and therefore to the Log — requires solving a small math problem.
Clearing the history
Two options:
- Delete an entry — swipe the relevant row, or use the edit button to remove a specific event.
- Delete all — the trash button (top of the screen) removes the entire history, after asking for confirmation. It is greyed out while the history is empty.
- Share — the share button (top of the screen) produces a CSV file (
FST-history-YYYY-MM-DD.csv) and hands it to the iOS share sheet: Mail, Messages, Files… One line per event, oldest first, with the date, the time and the label; it opens as is in a spreadsheet. The button is greyed out while the history is empty.
Deletion is permanent and local: deleted entries cannot be recovered.
