Emergency alert
The emergency alert lets you quickly attract the attention of people nearby in case of immediate need, without having to speak or type any text.
Triggering the alert
The emergency button (red triangle) is always available at the bottom of the main screen:
- when the keyboard is hidden, it appears as a round red button;
- when the keyboard is shown, it appears to the left of the input field.
Tapping this button triggers the alert immediately.
What happens during the alert
When the alert is active, the app shows a full-screen flash blinking red and white (about twice per second), together with a large warning symbol and the message "Help needed!".
At the same time:
- a repeated voice announcement ("Help needed!") plays on a loop, every two seconds — even when Sound is off in the settings: that setting is about the everyday voice, not the alert;
- an alert haptic is emitted on each repetition, following the Vibrations setting.
The alert is intentionally very visible and loud so it can be perceived from a distance, including by someone who is not looking at the screen.
Stopping the alert
To stop the alert, tap anywhere on the flashing screen. The app then immediately returns to the previous screen and the voice announcement stops.
